About the Group
Built to endure.
CALDON™ Group is not a construction company, a property developer, or a software company. It is a privately owned Australian group that builds businesses for an industry that deserves better ones.
Why we exist
Every year, construction shelters more people, employs more Australians and moves more capital than almost any other industry. And every year, it is asked to do so with thin margins, fragmented tools, short-term capital and businesses that too often do not survive their founders.
We think that is a solvable problem. Not with slogans, and not with a single company, but with a group of them, each built deliberately, each serving a different part of how the industry works, and each held with patience.
CALDON™ Group founds, builds, acquires and grows businesses that strengthen the construction industry. That single sentence is the reason the Group exists. The companies, the technology and the projects all exist in service of it.
Where we come from
CALDON™ was founded by Bradley Caldon, a licensed and chartered builder from a multi-generational building family, with seventeen years across government infrastructure, land subdivision, commercial development and award-winning residential construction, and more than 200 homes delivered.
The company was established in 2015 in Taree, on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales. It began the way most construction businesses begin. Building homes, one at a time, and earning a reputation slowly.
The instinct to build businesses, not just buildings, showed early. In 2016 the Group founded HTH Joinery, trading as HowsThatHouse, an advanced timber joinery manufacturing and ecommerce business that grew from a two-car garage into an industrial facility crafting furniture from native Australian timbers, before concluding its operations in 2024. In 2020 it commenced Fairview Estate in Taree, a 63-lot lifestyle subdivision that is now complete. Not every venture earns a permanent place, and knowing when to conclude one is part of disciplined ownership.
What changed was not the craft. It was the ambition. Years spent inside the industry made one thing clear. The problems that hold construction back are not building problems. They are business problems. Undercapitalised companies. Software that doesn't understand how builders actually work. Development driven by transactions rather than places. So CALDON™ stopped being one business and became a builder of them.
How we think
We are owners, not intermediaries. The Group is privately held, takes no outside mandates, and answers to no fund cycle. That structure is deliberate. It lets us allocate capital with discipline and hold businesses for as long as they deserve to be held. If we build them properly, that is indefinitely.
We found businesses where the industry's gaps are clearest. We build them with the patience of people who have poured slabs and know that nothing good is rushed. We acquire where an existing business is better joined than competed with. And we grow each company on its own merits, under its own leadership, with the Group behind it.
“We measure our progress in decades. It is the only honest unit of measurement for what we are trying to do.”
Today the portfolio spans residential construction and construction technology. Tomorrow it may include property development, finance, insurance, education, research or manufacturing. The test for any new business is the same test we apply to ourselves. Does it strengthen the industry, and can it be built to last?
Where we choose to build
CALDON™ Group is headquartered in Taree, New South Wales. Not as an accident of history, but as a statement of intent. One of the Group's long-term ambitions is to demonstrate that globally competitive construction businesses and technology companies can be conceived, engineered and scaled from regional Australia.
The regions are where most Australian building actually happens, where housing pressure is most acute, and where talented people are told they must leave to do serious work. We think the opposite is true. Serious work is exactly what the regions should export, and we intend for the companies that prove it to carry our name.
The Founder
Built by a builder.

Founder & Managing Director
BConstMgt(Bldg)(Hons) · Licensed Builder (NSW) · Chartered Builder (AIB)
Bradley Caldon founded CALDON™ in 2015 and leads the Group's direction, capital allocation and new ventures. A licensed and chartered builder from a multi-generational building family, his seventeen years in the industry span government infrastructure, land subdivision, commercial development and award-winning residential construction, with more than 200 homes delivered.
He builds companies the way he was taught to build houses. On solid ground, to a standard that doesn't need explaining, and with the intention that they outlast the person who built them.
The philosophy behind the Group.
What we believe shapes what we build. Our principles are written down, and we hold ourselves to them.
